I have one about 14 steps from the door, but now that I have some of the same kinds of herbs in tubs right outside the door, I tend to use those much more often. Maybe it's because I have to open a gate to get to the main herb garden, which this year has several tomato plants sprawling around in it.Corner Gardener Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10631500918579405664noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8507050173444646286.post-88096509325888687962013-09-23T20:43:31.512-04:002013-09-23T20:43:31.512-04:00Carolyn, we never do want summer to leave, do we? ...Carolyn, we never do want summer to leave, do we? Maybe they just were not getting enough water, or poor soil, or tangled roots or such. They are an acid loving plant, so acid fertilizer might give them the boost they need. I wondered about pruning the tall rose, but didn't. I didn't think that I fertilized too much. Only twice this summer. There is always next year. annhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01668006270534204954noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8507050173444646286.post-2237787700601234312013-09-22T18:55:02.866-04:002013-09-22T18:55:02.866-04:00It is sad to see them go...summer isn't long e...It is sad to see them go...summer isn't long enough for a butterfly.

JenRURAL https://www.blogger.com/profile/11871803235521431504noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8507050173444646286.post-14458010125862081602013-09-22T09:45:26.163-04:002013-09-22T09:45:26.163-04:00I love summer's decline. I had two in front of the house for years and one died over this winter. I didn't think they were getting enough sun, so I dug the living one up and replanted it in the back yard where it gets more sun. Well, it thrived this summer, but didn't grow any bigger and only one stinkin' bloom! All your flowers are gorgeous, as always. I enjoyed the pictures of the butterflies and moths, too.Melaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08659968511488397366noreply@blogger.com
