Evening's Golden Glow

There are those who swear by the light of of dawn for photographing their garden. I'm not a morning person, so I wouldn't know. Me, I much prefer the golden glow of the setting sun. It's my favorite time to go visit the garden and take pictures. After dinner is time to go sit on my garden bench and watch all the critters visiting my butterfly bush. It's a busy place.
Buckeye
Monarch
Hummingbird Moth
Painted Lady
Silver Spotted Skipper

But my favorite part is the way that the evening sun shines it's golden glow over everything.
Starry Night viola

Zinnias patch
More zinnias
Karl Forester reed grass
It's the best time of day.

  1. What a treat to see all your photos! I was glad to join you after dinner in your garden and see the evening sun setting in on your beautiful plants and flowers.

  2. Lovely butterfly photos and zinnias. I grew zinnias from seed this year but they don't look as nice as yours. The reed grass is very striking too.
