While I'm looking through my June garden pictures, trying to figure out the theme for today's post, I realize that beauty is all the theme I need. It's just plain pretty out there in the garden! From the Fourth of July roses clamoring up the trellis,
to the arrival of the hydrangeas,
to the blooming of the daylilies,
and the return of the nigella, I find new pretty spots every day!
Daisies are popping up everywhere.
Patiently waiting for the arrival of the first coneflower. This one is Pow Wow Wildberry.
Munstead lavender continues to delight! But it's so covered in bees at all times that I can't get anywhere near it.
So even though it's painfully dry out there, it's still just plain pretty!
I love all of your beautiful flowers. I had a nice daisy crop until Deniska decided to cut my bushes down and also cut all the daisy buds as well. He wanted everything to be the same height! LOL!! You just have to love the reasoning of an 11 year old!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful! The Rose at the top is gorgeous, and those Daylilies are quite lovely as well. Beautiful Lavender and Daisies. Your garden looks like a picture.
ReplyDeleteYou have the most beautiful coneflowers Robin. I'm still looking for 'green envy' that I saw on your blog last year. I may have to break down and order it online. I cannot get my daisies to spread around either. Everything is "just plain pretty!"
ReplyDeleteps the 'Purpurea Plena elegans' clematis wasn't bought as a standard ~ it just sort of grew that way. Since I'm having somewhat of an obsession about that form this year it makes me happy. You are right tho ~ most of the time being bare to the ground would not be attractive!
Have a great weekend.
Your flowers are wonderful! I especially like the rose splattered with color! Isn't June wonderful?
ReplyDeleteGorgeous flowers--and as always, your photography skills are amazing! :)
ReplyDeleteYour lavender is amazing - such a huge bunch of it! Does it get a lot of sun? Do you have it in regular soil? My coneflower hasn't bloomed yet either. Soon!
